Eugene YPs will mingle, mix, and make music at April's YP Connect event! The Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE) and the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering again this year to bring us a redesigned Arts After Hours, which promises to be a chance to unleash your creative side. Attendees will be able to create art, make music, experience dance, explore technology and much more! Join us for an evening of intentional networking and entertainment where you will build new relationships, strike up conversations about future partnerships, and explore the congruent interests of the arts and business sectors. Eugene YP members get an exclusive front row seat to exciting changes happening at the Downtown Riverfront district! City of Eugene employees will be giving Eugene YP members a tour of the historic Steam Plant to share insights about upcoming changes. The Eugene Steam Plant, constructed in 1931, is the oldest standing building on the Downtown Riverfront property and its new future is just beginning. Property developers sent surveys asking for public input and commentary at events held in January and February and we are now in the next stages for this exciting change for Eugene. The current Riverfront Development proposal includes areas for shops, offices, small businesses, parks, meeting places, and apartments. Join us for a YP member only tour and learn more about this upcoming development and how YPs can get involved in the planning of our city. We start at 5:00 and will be giving tours at 5:15, 5:30, and 5:45. Park at the EWEB headquarters and enjoy a nice 5-minute walk along the river path to the Steam Plant.
