Annual YP Service Project with Project Hope

Annual YP Service Project with Project Hope

Doing Good in your Neighborhood!

Volunteer one or both days with Project Hope; an annual two-day event serving local schools to provide lower income students with access to new shoes, backpacks, school supplies and haircuts, at the start of the school year, as well as help get school facilities ready for a new year. Through the combined efforts of 70+ churches, organizations, and businesses, Project Hope provides shoes, socks, and backpacks filled with school supplies to more than 3400 kids. This giveaway happens at the Kids’ Fair (4 school locations simultaneously in Lane County), in a fun-filled environment with inflatables, carnival games, face-painting, along with haircuts and meals.

In 2018, Project Hope served over 3,300 kids and received help from over 1,300 volunteers!

Just 3 hours of your time could impact a child’s entire school year. Sign up today through August 9!

  • 8/24 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., help at schools to beautify the grounds and prepare the facilities for the new year
  • 8/25 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., assist at the annual Bethel area Kids’ Fair

Please email Patti Buss at patti@onehopenetwork.org to volunteer!

Wear your YP shirt from any of the Summits and share your pics from that day to our FB/Insta accounts with the hashtag #YPcommunity.
